Bernau shines: 14 meter high Colorado fir adorns the market square!
In Bernau, the market square shines in a new light! Last Wednesday, an impressive 14 meter high Colorado fir was erected, which will soon decorate the center of the upcoming Christmas market week. The noble fir tree was donated by Lutz Möller, a well-known member of the Barnim music school. The tree in the donor's garden had grown too large over the years, so moving was the best solution. The transport to the city center was carried out by semi-trailer, accompanied by the police to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
The broad support of local companies came into play when the fir tree was erected. A crane from Fröhlich Bau Kran und Bausitelogistik ensured that the magnificent specimen found its place safely. Jürgen Brinckmann, head of the city's infrastructure office, would like to thank the companies BMS-Mietpartner and Hoffmann Transport & Recycling GmbH for their active support. Such collaborations show once again that local companies work hand in hand to create something great for the community.
Looking forward to the Christmas market week
The wait will soon be over! The tranquil Christmas market week begins on November 24th at 3 p.m. with the ceremonial opening of a popular ice rink. The Christmas market officially opens on December 5th and invites you to marvel and linger until December 14th. During this festive week, visitors can also look forward to the opening of another Christmas tree on the Steintor square, which will be installed by WOBAU. The Christmas spirit is also spread in Biesenthal, where a large Christmas tree is also decorated on the market square.
This festive tradition not only brings light and joy to the cold season, but also promotes community cohesion. The Christmas market offers a wonderful opportunity to support the local economy and celebrate together in a contemplative atmosphere. The run-up to Christmas is a highlight of the year for many people in Bernau, and putting up the fir tree is often the start of a contemplative time for young and old.
A special commitment to the community
In recent years, the region has become increasingly committed to local initiatives and projects to improve the quality of life of its citizens. Similar to the efforts of companies like Moxa, which specialize in critical connectivity for industrial automation and thereby improve the quality of life, the citizens of Bernau also show great commitment to their community. Moxa stands for collaboration and sustainable solutions that also have a positive impact in the region.
All of this shows that Bernau is not only lively in the run-up to Christmas, but is a thriving community all year round. With such commitment and solidarity, nothing stands in the way of a festive start to the Christmas market week in the city.
