Celebrate beer and wine in Wittenberge – the new mile kicks off!
On Saturday, June 28th, Wittenberg's Bahnstrasse will once again be the scene of a culinary and musical delight. The popular wine and beer mile pampers visitors with a new concept that not only ensures better orientation, but also offers an individual character. From 7 p.m. there will be celebrations, feasting and dancing as the atmosphere in Wittenberge comes to life. The event is organized in collaboration with the State Garden Show 2027, the Prignitz Youth Forum and the Volunteer Fire Department Support Association, as nordkurier.de reports.
This year there are five themed stages available, offering a varied music program. Among the artists are “Luna Soul” from Schwerin on the Laga stage, the local band “The Dise” on the Kulturhaus stage, and “Zwei wie Pech und Sulfur” from Boberow on the blue light stage. Grabower Matze Fischer will also appear on the JUFO stage, while the guitar duo “Hanshagen” from Schwerin will enliven the Mediterranean stage. Music lovers can expect a lot!
Culinary diversity and competition
A real treat is the culinary offering, which consists of almost 20 stalls. Breweries such as Asse from Pritzwalk and the Braumanufaktur Ludwigslust will present their best varieties, while the winery “Zuckschwerdt – Drei Lagen Wein” from Würzburg will provide exquisite wines. Foodies also get their money's worth with a food truck from Eventkoch (MV) and the “Zum rasenden Gyros” stand by Raphaela Stricker.
But the event offers more than just culinary delights: a table football tournament, organized by FSV Veritas Wittenberge/Breese, will create a sporting atmosphere. Anyone can take part here, although advance registration is necessary - simply send an email to kontakt@feste-und-maerkte.de.
Parking options and arrival
Admission to the Wine and Beer Mile is free, and those who come by car will find plenty of parking options. Free places are available behind the Culture and Festival Hall and at the train station. For access to Bahnstrasse, the road is closed from the star. Visitors should use Wilhelmstrasse access.
In addition to the wine and beer mile, another highlight will take place on this day: the 111th anniversary of the town hall will be celebrated with guided tours and an interesting program from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. One more perfect reason to visit Wittenberg city center and end the day in good company.
The anticipation for the Wine and Beer Mile is already palpable, and we can hardly wait to celebrate this colorful festival with you! Further information can be found on the website of maz-online.de.
