Animal shelter under municipal light
In the context of social interaction, it's not just about the weather conditions. The animal residents in the region also have their own challenges. The Rockingham County Animal Shelter partnered with Planned Pethood Spay & Neuter Clinic to create a low-cost spay and neuter program. The aim of this initiative is to reduce unwanted litters and reduce the number of admissions to public animal shelters.
The prices for castration or sterilization are more than fair:
- Hunde: $75.00
- Katzen: $65.00
- Tollwutimpfung: $10.00
- Transportbox-Miete: $5.00 (falls benötigt)
Anyone interested must appear at the animal shelter in person to make an appointment and bring proof of a current rabies vaccination. Alternatively, this can be carried out on site. The adoption fees are also attractive and help promote the animal community.
Public transport connections: A look beyond borders
Amid freezing temperatures, animal needs and the excitement of travel, the Dahme-Spree Forest remains a place full of challenges and opportunities. It is important to be well informed and to seize the opportunities that arise.
