A celebratory event to honor the best high school graduates was held in the Dahme-Spreewald district on July 10, 2025. The graduates, their families, teachers and numerous guests gathered at the picturesque courtyard in Lübben to honor the outstanding achievements of a total of 26 young people who achieved the dream grade of 1.0 in their Abitur. District Administrator Sven Herzberger, district council chairman Olaf Schulze and department head Stefan Klein presented the coveted awards and took the opportunity to wish the graduates good luck for their future paths.

The honor took place as part of a warm celebration, which was accompanied by music from the district music school. After the official handover of the certificate, those present were able to exchange ideas and celebrate the successes together at a cozy get-together with ice cream sundaes. What is particularly interesting is that, in addition to the 26 high school graduates, two graduates from the training areas of social assistant and educator were also honored, which highlights the diversity of the educational offerings in the district and emphasizes the importance of the educational offerings at the Dahme-Spreewald secondary school center.

Excellent performance at schools

The best Abitur grades were not only rare, but they also show the high level of education in the region. A total of 83 students from the district achieved Abitur grades between 1.0 and 1.4, which represents a remarkable success for the schools.
