Tigerradtour 2025: Collecting cycling legends for Eberswalder Zoo!
On June 28, 2025, the time has come again: The 19th TigerRadour in Eberswalde becomes the annual highlight for cycling enthusiasts and animal lovers. Organizer Bernd Hensch has announced that this will be his last tour as head of the event. But don't worry: he remains loyal to cycling as an active driver, while the organization of the next tour is handed over to Paulina Ostrowska. These changes not only bring a breath of fresh air, but also a concentrated charge experiences and emotions.
The benefit trip has collected around 750,000 euros for the Eberswalde Zoo in recent years. This ensures the future of the zoo and enchanting projects such as the design of the Tiger enclosure is supported. A total of around 300 cycling fans will take part in the event this year, including the former world champions Rainer Podlesch (80), Reinhard Scheer (81) and Klaus-Jürgen Grünke (74), who drive in the striking yellow jerseys for victory.
emotions in yellow jerseys
Klaus-Jürgen Grünke itself describes the tiger bike tour as "completely unique" and emphasizes the excellent organization, which is made possible by a committed team of sponsors, helpers and drivers. The idea of going into the pedals for a good cause combines the participants and creates a good atmosphere. The start times are set: the 200 kilometer distance begins at 7 a.m., while the 100 km round starts at 9:30 a.m. The return of the entire field in the zoo is planned for around 4:30 p.m.
Bernd Hensch, who also acts as chairman of the association of friends and sponsors of the Zoological Garden Eberswalde e.V., hopes for ideal weather on the tour. "Dry with temperatures around 20 degrees would be perfect," said Hensch. The tour is fully secured: the police, service cars and medical support are ready to ensure the safety of all participants.
A strong team supports the zoo
Currently there are already 26 sponsors for the event, which contribute significantly to finance the tiger bike tour. It is also particularly noteworthy to support local sponsors who not only provide financial resources, but are also active to promote cycling in the region. Sponsoring in cycling has proven to be a lucrative business in recent years. For example, renowned brands such as Red Bull have not only brought teams, but also entire events to the next level through their investments in sport, which shows how valuable these partnerships are for the community.
In this context, interested cyclists should not be afraid to ask sponsorship inquiries. As Philipp Schön notes from Bikebeat, there are many ways to develop creative concepts, be it for professional teams or individuals. The commitment by sponsors not only in professional cycling, but also in local events such as the TigerRadt tour strengthens the regional identity and promotes the tourism sector.
A real hit will definitely be the tiger bike tour - both for your own well -being and for the Eberswalde zoo. The anticipation for this event is already noticeable and the spectators can look forward to an exciting event in which the heart of cycling and love for nature go hand in hand.
