In the Erich-Ling Sports Hall in Bernau, the fifth daycare sports festival of the district sports association Barnim took place on June 12, 2025. Around 400 children from 18 Bernau daycare centers took part in this colorful event, which was organized by the city of Bernau and the district sports association Barnim. Under the inspiring view of the little athletes, the mascot Barnike and moderator Karl von Breydin provided a great atmosphere, while the children had a lot of fun with the numerous game and sports elements such as bouncy castles, climbing towers and course. A musical warm -up program started the sporting day, which was all about movement and fun.

"Movement offers are crucial for the motor development of the children," emphasizes Bernaus Sports representative Benedikt Kniehl. These events are not only fun, but also an important contribution to the healthy development of the youngest. The daycare festival in Bernau was followed by previous events in other cities, such as Eberswalde, which took place two years ago after a two-year Corona break. At that time, around 750 children from more than 40 facilities took part and the fun clearly took part, not medals or documents, such as barnim.de.
