Looking back, there is a lot to celebrate in Lauchhammer! The city will celebrate 25 years of sauna and leisure pool, a place that for many not only means relaxation but also community. The indoor leisure pool “Am Weinberg” opened its doors on November 18, 2000 and a lot has happened since then. The construction costs amounted to an impressive 11.5 million German marks, with the city raising 20% ​​from its own funds and the rest being covered by EU funding. Today the pool attracts around 118,000 guests every year who take advantage of the diverse offerings.

With a comprehensive expansion and modernization of the sauna and outdoor area in 2016/17, the foundation for today's attractiveness was laid. In 2018, the facility not only received a new name - it was now the Lauchhammer Sauna & Leisure Pool - but also the “Service Quality Germany” seal of approval. This makes it clear that not only fun but also quality is important here.

Diverse offers and activities

From the log cabin sauna with 100 °C to the newly created Bergmann sauna with 85 °C in 2018, the sauna landscape has something to offer for everyone. Here, lounge areas and seating areas invite you to relax, while Kneipp pools and outdoor showers provide a refreshing change in the warmer months. The idyllic pond with typical regional plants completes the ambience.

The pool also offers special programs for families, including baby sauna and swimming courses, where around 250 children learn to swim every year. Infusions are scheduled every hour on the hour from Monday to Saturday and the popular women's sauna evenings take place on Thursdays, except on public holidays.

Sustainability in focus

Further progress will be achieved in 2025 with the installation of a photovoltaic system that will help reduce energy costs with 92 kilowatts. In times when environmental protection and sustainability are becoming increasingly important, this is a step that not only optimizes the operation of the pool, but also makes a positive contribution to the environment.

The anniversary will feature a full-scale celebration. From November 17th to 23rd, everyone who comes will receive a 25% discount on individual admissions. There will also be an anniversary sauna evening on November 21st, which will feature an expanded program and should definitely not be missed.
