Cottbus appeared unimpressed and had a great opportunity in the 68th minute, but it remained unused. Rieds Havenaar (86th minute) could have extended the lead, but his header only hit the crossbar. Nothing noteworthy happened in stoppage time, so Ried ultimately won the game 2-1.
