On the weekend after Pentecost, more precisely on June 14th and 15th, 2025, everything revolves around exciting events in the Strausberg, Buckow and Gusow region. There is a lot to discover and experience here. The Circus Samadhi is currently one of the highlights in Strausberg, where it is a guest in the sports and recreation park until June 29th. Daily performances at 4 p.m. (except Mondays to Wednesdays) provide entertainment for the whole family. The entry fee of 10 euros, excluding the box, is a good price considering that the show features, among other things, pet training, a fire show and appearances by Paw Patrol. Anyone who wants to experience nature up close can look forward to the fairytale hikes for children, which will take place on June 14th at 10 a.m. This event is aimed at 4 to 7 year olds and costs 5 euros (reduced 4 euros). Registration is required to participate. A moorland hike is also offered on the same day, and those interested can set off as early as 9:15 a.m., also for 5 euros (reduced 3 euros).
For anyone who wants to enjoy a little regional flair, the country trip at Schlossgut Altlandsberg is just the thing. On June 14th and 15th from 11 a.m. there will be a regional market, guided tours and live music - and entry is free! We continue with Girls Day in Neuenhagen, where a basketball workshop for girls between the ages of 8 and 18 will take place on June 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration by email is required here. There will also be a play: “Frau Holle” will be performed on June 15th at 4 p.m. at the Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf estate – admission is free, but donations are welcome.
A highlight of the region is the Rose Days in Buckow, which take place from June 13th to 15th. This city festival attracts with music, quizzes, a football tournament and a duck race. It starts on June 13th at 5:30 p.m., while the metal festival in Prötzel on June 13th and 14th will appeal to fans of harder music with a ticket price of 37.50 euros.
What could be nicer than experiencing a festival of lights in Ihlow? On June 14th there will be a parade at 2 p.m., followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m. - entry is also free. For classic car fans who love the classics of automobile history, the Gusow Oldtimer Meeting is on the program on June 13th and 14th, which offers a disco, demonstrations and a parts market. If you're looking for action-packed entertainment, you can't miss the dumper championship in Altranft on June 14th - there's a race on the schedule at 2 p.m., and your physical well-being will be taken care of with food and drinks on site.
The weekend is rounded off by the Open Garden Days in the Oderbruch, where a total of 33 private gardens will open their doors on June 14th and 15th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A wonderful experience for garden lovers, which also provides a glimpse into the diversity of regional garden culture.
