Uckermark survives black ice with only one minor accident!
In the Uckermark, people seem to be a little lucky at the moment. Despite the winter weather conditions, the region survived relatively unscathed, reports Northern Courier. On Saturday morning, the police department leader expressed relief at the situation after temperatures rose from a frosty -6 degrees Celsius to almost freezing on the second holiday. But at the same time the risk of slipping on streets and sidewalks increased.
On Friday there was only one accident with personal injuries in the Uckermark. A car overturned between Casekow and Schönow. One person was slightly injured. Further incidents occurred on the B166 between Stendell and PCK and on the A11 between the Uckermark and Barnim motorway triangles in the direction of Berlin. Return travel is expected to increase on Sunday December 28th, with the weather forecast reporting temperatures between -1 degrees and +4 degrees and partly sunny weather.
