Final help for children: Important courses in the Uckermark!
A lot is happening in the Uckermark! Numerous events are on the program, and while many of them are already fully booked, there is still the opportunity to register for some highlights. This includes, among other things, the popular “Last Help Course” run by the Uckermärkisches Hospice Association on July 24th and 25th, which is specifically aimed at children. Here the little ones learn how to deal with issues relating to serious illnesses and dying. True to the motto, where help is needed, the course is a valuable opportunity to acquire knowledge about end-of-life care. How Northern Courier reported, the contents of the course are based on the concept of the palliative medicine specialist Dr. Georg Bollig designed.
The courses are specifically designed for children and young people who want to learn how to support people in the last phase of life. The program includes several modules that, among other things, examine how to deal with grief and the physical and emotional challenges at the end of life. The speakers are experienced palliative care workers who give participants practical tips for dealing with grief and care. It's not just about caring for the grave, but about supporting a person throughout this difficult time. In general, the course aims to address relatives in the last phase of life, as the Dasein hospice association website explains: hospizverein-dasein.de.
