By bike to the Baltic Sea: Neuruppin children start an adventurous tour!

In a few days, a group of around 20 children and young people from Ostprignitz-Ruppin will set off on an adventure that not only takes them to one of the most beautiful regions in Germany, but also represents a great personal challenge for the young participants. The bike tour starts on July 30th and covers an impressive 220 kilometers to the Baltic Sea. This reports maz-online.de.

15-year-old Vivien Schindler from Neuruppin faces the challenge with passion and a very special attitude. She sees the tour as an opportunity to test her own resilience. The bike tour, which is organized as part of a holiday project, is led by committed educators and social workers from Neuruppin and Fehrbellin.

A well thought-out security concept

With such a long route, it is important that the safety of all participants is guaranteed. A sophisticated concept ensures this: everything from compulsory helmet use to high-visibility vests to first aid training is included. A support bus will also support the group by transporting tents, spare parts and food. The bus can also serve as a place to retreat if someone is exhausted or has suffered an injury.

The first stage takes the group from the youth club in Neuruppin to the DGB education center in Flecken-Zechlin; the first challenge will be a distance of 54 kilometers. The project is financed by the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district's youth development award as well as donations from the region, which enables participants to take part free of charge. You only have to pay a personal contribution of 80 euros for three days of vacation in Ribnitz-Damgarten.

Experience nature and promote team spirit

The central goal of the tour is to promote the children's personal development - be it by strengthening self-confidence, gross motor skills or mental health. The project also follows the concept of a “media-light” experience in which cell phones can only be used at certain times. This means the young people can enjoy nature and the community undisturbed.

In Ribnitz-Damgarten, the destination of this exciting trip, campfires, barbecue evenings and swimming together are planned for the participants. Here you can relax after a long bike ride, exchange ideas and make new friends. The supporting program also provides valuable memories that will last beyond the summer holidays.

Since there is great interest in such an event, a repeat of the tour is being considered next year. However, this depends on financing, which further motivates the organizers and participants to find sponsors. By the way, in the region around Ribnitz-Damgarten there are some wonderful bike tours that are also interesting for families and active people. Beautiful tours to swimming lakes, beer gardens and ice cream parlors are offered, as on freizeitmonster.de is to be read.

Adventure, team spirit and learning together – the children’s bike tour from Ostprignitz-Ruppin will certainly be an unforgettable experience!
