In a few days, a group of around 20 children and adolescents from Ostprignitz-Ruppin will start an adventure that not only leads to one of the most beautiful regions in Germany, but also represents a great personal challenge for the young participants. with passion and a very special attitude, 15-year-old Vivien Schindler from Neuruppin is the challenge. She sees the tour as a way to test its own resilience. The bike tour organized as part of a holiday project is under the direction of committed educators and social workers from Neuruppin and Fehrbellin.

With such a long route, it is important that the security of all participants is guaranteed. This is ensured by a sophisticated concept: everything is included, from the helmet obligation to warning vests to first aid training. In addition, an accompanying bus will support the group by transporting tents, spare parts and meals. So the bus can also serve as a retreat if someone is exhausted or an injury has occurred.

The first stage leads the group from the youth club in Neuruppin to the DGB education center in Flecken-Zechlin, the first challenge will be a distance of 54 kilometers. The project is financed by the youth promotion award of the district of Ostprignitz-Ruppin and by donations from the region, which enables the participants to participate free of charge. Only an in-house contribution of 80 euros for three vacation days in Ribnitz-Damgarten.
