Take off over Eisenhüttenstadt: helicopter flights at the city festival!

Next weekend, August 30th and 31st, 2025, Eisenhüttenstadt will be the venue for a special event: the city festival invites all citizens and guests to experience aviation up close. A highlight are the exciting helicopter sightseeing flights offered from the city festival. The idea for this comes from Mayor Frank Balzer, who caused a sensation with similar flights in 2015 and 2024. The flights take off from an unusual place - the dog run area on Beeskower Straße.

The sightseeing flights are intended for all adventure seekers and cost 75 euros per seat. What's special: advance registration is not required. The flights begin as soon as the helicopter is fully occupied - there are three seats per departure. The machines will be available on both days at the following times: August 30th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and August 31st from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The flights are organized by Aeroheli International, which is based at the Cottbus-Neuhausen airfield.

A city celebrates

But the city festival offers much more than just sightseeing flights. There will be a colorful program with various attractions and performances that invite visitors to celebrate. The entire city is preparing for a weekend full of fun and joy that is intended to delight young and old. The festive ambience, music and culinary delicacies ensure that the city festival is an unforgettable experience.

At a time when many events are on hold due to various circumstances, the return of such events is particularly valuable. The community has the opportunity to come together, share and celebrate life. The city festival will not only fill the sky over Eisenhüttenstadt with helicopters, but also people's hearts with joy and togetherness.

From the air to the Internet

Something special has also developed in another corner of the internet landscape. The 4chan platform, which has offered a variety of content since its founding in 2003 and is considered one of the most frequented imageboards on the Internet, is known for its anonymity and a colorful mix of topics. Everything from memes to current social debates is represented there. With over 22 million monthly visitors, the platform attracts people from all over the world and has left a lasting impression on online culture.

But not everything that happens in the digital space remains unproblematic. 4chan has also been in the headlines on several occasions, particularly due to discussions about moderation and content. It is a place that encourages both creativity and controversy, leading to the most diverse and often contradictory relationships in today's world.

This makes it all the more important to support and enjoy local events like the town festival in Eisenhüttenstadt. These events offer a refreshing change from the often chaotic online world and create memories that will last a lifetime.
