There will be a big celebration in Templin soon! The Schützenguilde Templin 1810 e.V. invites you to the parade on the occasion of its 30th anniversary of the consecration of the flag. This event takes place as part of the City Wall Festival, which is of particular importance for the city and its residents. The parade starts on June 21st at 12 p.m. from the market square and leads through various streets of the city. Heiko Strempel, the chairman of the shooting guild, is enthusiastic about the preparations, which have been going on for a year. The celebrations are supported by the 3rd Company of the 610 Telecommunications Battalion of the Bundeswehr and other rifle clubs. He reports more on this Northern Courier.
The parade route will take interested spectators through Schinkelstrasse, Kantstrasse, Mühlenstrasse, Werderstrasse, Pestalozzistrasse, as well as Seestrasse and Heinestrasse before the festive procession returns to the market square. A concert by the Friedlander and Templin fanfare band will take place in the festival tent in the morning, which will offer visitors a musical foretaste of the celebrations, followed by a fashion show by the telecommunications battalion at 3 p.m. In the festival tent, visitors can find out about exciting shooting and archery offerings until 6 p.m. - a real highlight for all sports enthusiasts!
Committed clubs and community actions
As part of the City Wall Festival, local clubs have the opportunity to top up their club coffers through a special campaign. There will also be an entertaining duck race in which hundreds of rubber ducks compete against each other in the flow channel of the NaturThermeTemplin. This race not only promises a lot of fun, but also serves a good cause: all proceeds from the sale of the ducks, which can be purchased at the tourist information center, benefit the Templin clubs. The owners of the winning ducks can look forward to great prizes. Information about the campaign and how to apply for interested clubs can be found on the city's website Templin.
