A new wind in the toy store: Templin store celebrates change!

The toy store “Oli & Pia” in Templin is facing a generational change. After almost 25 years, Jessika Stöckel, who ran the store with a lot of passion for 14 years, has decided to go new ways. “I would like to have more time for the family,” said the 42-year-old, who returned from Berlin and originally worked as a dental technician. From July 4th, Julia Suckow, 37 years old and from the fashion industry, will take over the helm. “Moving into the toy sector is a conscious decision for me,” says the new owner.

The handover of the business takes place in a spiritual light, as Julia learned about the succession by chance and quickly developed a good knack for the needs of the children and their parents. Fortunately, the name and the tried and tested concept of the toy shop remain unchanged, so that the enthusiasm for wooden toys, family games and many other lovingly selected items remains.

From the traditional to the new

“Oli & Pia” continues to offer a wide range of wooden toys, including toys for princesses and little horse lovers, experimental games as well as books and outdoor utensils. The range is not only very popular with Templiners, but also reflects a nationwide trend: the demand for wooden toys is higher than ever. According to market analyzes by GMI Insights The global market for wooden toys will continue to grow in the coming years. In 2024 it is estimated at USD 28.5 billion, with a pleasing growth rate.

More and more parents are choosing sustainable products. The wooden toy market benefits significantly from this because these toys promote children's cognitive and motor skills. At the same time, wooden toys are characterized by their durability and are often a cost-effective solution as they need to be replaced less frequently. In Europe, where the market share reaches an impressive 35.8%, continuous growth of 4.8% is forecast.

Invitation to reopen

The reopening of “Oli & Pia” will be celebrated on July 4th at 2 p.m. and promises some surprises, including balloons and face painting. Jessika Stöckel would like to thank her loyal customers: “It was a wonderful time in business.” While they look forward to new phases in their lives, the little Templiners can be sure that the beloved range of wooden toys and many other offerings will continue to be fresh and friendly.

For anyone who is still interested in different wooden toys, there are a variety of offers in the area. On platforms like Kleinanzeigen.de You will find a colorful selection that ranges from rocking horses to wooden play kitchens to complete toy sets - all aimed at sustainability and fun.

Whether for the next generation or simply for your own collection, the return to tried and tested wooden toys is very trendy. And it looks like Templin will continue to be a strong hub for creative and sustainable play opportunities.
