Musical highlights 2026: Stars come to Ostprignitz-Ruppin!
An exciting cultural year is coming for the Ostprignitz-Ruppin region! As the Märkische Allgemeine reported, numerous New Year's concerts and other music events have already been announced for 2026. Music lovers can look forward to a diverse range of artists and genres taking to the stage in cities across the region.
The start traditionally takes place on New Year's Day, January 1st, with the “Ensemble Nobiles” in Rheinsberg at 3 p.m. Just three days later, on January 4th, the state youth pop choir “Young Voices” will delight listeners with a performance at 4 p.m. A highlight will be the New Year's Concert of the Brandenburg State Orchestra, which will take place twice on January 10th in the former parish church of St. Marien in Neuruppin, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Venue St. Marien in Neuruppin
The solemn atmosphere of this concert is underlined by the history of St. Mary's Church. The original church on this site dates back to the 13th century, but was destroyed in the city fire of 1787. The new building in 1801 is now a modern hall church, which has been used as a culture and congress center since 2002. Equipped with professional event technology and a retractable stage, the church is ideally equipped for concerts, exhibitions and celebrations. It is also centrally located in Neuruppin, not far from the main train station and can be easily reached by public transport, such as Reservix informed.
The region will continue to be covered with events throughout January: On January 18th, Wolfgang Niedecken, known as the singer of BAP, will perform solo in Neuruppin - the concert is already sold out. But we can also look forward to the performances of Toni Krahl with “Die Kinx vom Prenzlauer Berg” on January 23rd and 24th and Dirk Zöllner & Manuel Schmid on January 23rd over the course of the month. A strong start to an intensive cultural year!
The highlights of spring
February brings more musical treats to Rheinsberg with “Manfred Mann’s Earthband” and a concert by the Prenzlauer Berg Youth Chamber Orchestra. In March we can look forward to a variety of events, including the popular benefit concert with the Bundeswehr Staff Music Corps on March 14th and the Aequinox Music Days from March 20th to 22nd.
The variety of events promises not only entertainment, but also cultural exchange and community experiences. Ostprignitz-Ruppin is a lively place of art and culture that invites you to enjoy and celebrate.
Get ready for unforgettable moments and a variety of musical experiences in the region!
