Art to amaze: Neuruppin celebrates water with spectacular exhibitions!
The anticipation is great! The Galerie am Bollwerk Neuruppin association invites everyone interested in art to a unique cultural get-together and an exciting art project under the theme of “water”. From mid-July, several exhibitions will be presented in Neuruppin, involving a total of 27 talented artists from the region. Art lovers should mark the upcoming dates in their calendars!
The first exhibition entitled “Painting, Ceramics and Video” will open on Thursday, July 17th at 7 p.m. in the Raiffeisenbank Neuruppin. The works, which interpret the theme of water in different ways, show the creativity and commitment of the artists from the Ruppiner Land, which is known for its picturesque waters. The exhibition features, among others, the own creations of Anna Arnskötter, Andreas Dorfstecher, Annett Glöckner, Ulrike Hogrebe, Heike Jeschonnek, Susanne Krell, Sabine Ranft, Günter Rieger, Hendrik Schink, Geli Schulze and Uschi Zänker. These form the heart of the opening, accompanied by an introduction by Prof. Dr. phil. Stefan Büttner from Stülpnagel and a video by Katja Richter. Titles such as “Boat”, “Stranded”, “Sea Turtle” and “Vessels” are already arousing the curiosity of visitors.
Further exhibitions and offers
But that's not all: The second exhibition on the subject of “Sculpture and Design” follows, which opens on July 24th at 5 p.m. in the garden of the Neuruppin Museum. Impressive works by artists such as Elli Graetz, Jens Kanitz, Benjamin Schulte, Bernd Weimar, Matthias Zágon Hohl-Stein, Vincent Zagon and Franziska Zänker are showcased here. Jens Kanitz will cause a stir with his three meter high oak sculpture “Diver”. The introduction is given by Günter Rieger, and musical accompaniment comes from saxophonist Ulrike Schwarz.
The third exhibition, which opens its doors on July 26th at 2 p.m. in the monastery church of St. Trinitatis Neuruppin, is dedicated to “Graphics and Drawings”. Well-known artists such as Elli Graetz, Uschi Jung, Jost Löber, Katja Martin, Katrin Mason-Brown, Ellen Mäder-Gutz, Lothar Seruset, Tamara Trölsch and Bernd Weimar are also represented here. Hendrik Schink will design the introduction. Entertainment is provided: there are hands-on activities such as making paper, building rainmakers, printing sayings and an open-air dice game. Another highlight are the lithographs on the subject of “WATER”, which were created by Cornelia Felsch, Jens Kanitz, Hendrik Schink and Franziska Zänker.
