Cottbus is crowned Matthäi Cup winner in Oranienburg!

The 9th Matthäi Cup was held yesterday in Oranienburg, and the LHC Cottbus can now look forward to victory. After an exciting tournament, Cottbus prevailed against the competition and won the decisive game against HV Grün-Weiß Werder with 27:26. The team thus secured the overall victory, which was played over eight hours, in the style of a real handball crime thriller.

The list of participants was impressive: In addition to LHC Cottbus, which plays in the regional league, the hosts Oranienburger HC as well as Stralsunder HV and HV Grün-Weiß Werder, both in the 3rd league, also competed against each other.
