SG Union Klosterfelde: Sensational promotion to the top league!

What a fast, exciting game in the Orafol Arena in Oranienburg! On June 14, 2025 the SG Union Klosterfelde won the championship title in the Brandenburg Football League. A 2-0 win against Oranienburger FC Eintracht secured the team's first promotion to the NOFV Oberliga. Philip Einsiedel's two goals, scored in the 6th and 38th minutes, made club history.

The encounter took place in front of 320 passionate spectators who cheered as Klosterfelde left the field as the winner. A yellow-red card from Oranienburg's Samir Mahmutagic in the 72nd minute made it even easier for the guests to secure the title. The joy of winning the title was obvious and the players can look forward to the new challenges in the top league. Coach Kevin Hetzel emphasized that the upcoming celebrations will be unique for the club and the surrounding area.

Off to the big leagues

In the coming season, Klosterfelde is expected to play in the North season of the Oberliga. Exciting encounters against numerous well-known teams are on the program here. Possible opponents include: Tennis Borussia Berlin, SV Tasmania Berlin, Hansa Rostock II and Optik Rathenow. Klosterfelde can rely on experienced players who have already played in higher leagues and who will give the team valuable impetus.

An important aspect for advancement is that Klosterfelde can meet the necessary infrastructural requirements. This is particularly important in the top league, as playing games brings with it many challenges.

The rise for everyone

But it's not just the first men's team that can celebrate: the second men's team and the A-juniors from Klosterfelde also made it into the higher leagues this season. This underlines the club's good structure and excellent youth work. Success could be a step towards a shared future that produces talented and passionate players.

What does it look like in the major league? The league is an important stage in German football and the promoted teams have the chance to fight their way further up. In the Regionalliga Nordost, which is the next highest level, there are well-known clubs like this FSV Zwickau, FC Energie Cottbus and many more who prove themselves in this competition. This clearly shows that Klosterfelde has to assert itself at a high level in order to be successful.

As coach Hetzel has already indicated, the club will do everything in its power to start the new season optimally prepared. The anticipation of the increased challenges is written all over the faces of the club and its supporters.
