New Year's Eve celebrations in Bernau
On New Year's Eve, citizens can look forward to a traditional New Year's Eve run in the city park at 10:00 a.m., which invites all runners. The highlight, however, will be the central fireworks display at midnight, which will provide a spectacular show lasting around 15 minutes. The MACO Feuerwerk company will ensure the start on time. The security area around the fireworks display site remains closed to ensure the safety of spectators.
The frosty temperatures and the warning of slippery conditions pose a challenge, but this does not spoil the festive mood, because the Christmas markets in Berlin, for example at Charlottenburg Palace, the Red Town Hall or at the Gendarmenmarkt, remain open until the turn of the year and are a popular destination for excursions.
