ASB Barnim celebrates 35 years of commitment: A look into the future!
In the Barnim region, the ASB Regionalverband Barnim e.V. has an impressive history that began on May 28, 1991. With over three decades of experience, the association, led by managing director André Mettin, is committed to helping local people. The focus of its work is on services provided by skilled workers, volunteers and volunteers. Moral and ethical transparency are cornerstones that strengthen trust in the association's offerings. This view was also confirmed by a new position paper published by ASB Germany at the end of last year, which takes into account the challenges of our fast-moving society. Barnim Current reports that the association is continually refining its offerings to meet the needs of the region.
In the last decade, the regional association has founded a number of new facilities, including the Alfons Zitterbacke daycare center as well as two service offices and a new day care facility. The Lindenpark day group was also relaunched and the outpatient care services were successfully merged. These developments show that the ASB Regionalverband Barnim e.V. has a good hand when it comes to meeting the growing requirements of the region. Future projects should continue to meet the needs of the Barnim population.
Challenges and adjustments
Against the background of global changes, the ASB is also facing new challenges. The drop in birth rates and the capacity utilization of the daycare centers in Zerpenschleuse and Stolzenhagen in particular require creative solutions. These and other factors also influence students' learning habits, which in turn has an impact on social and educational offerings. Those responsible at ASB are aware of how important it is to react flexibly to funding cuts in the social and educational sectors in order to be able to maintain high standards.
Another focus is on recruiting well-trained specialists. Securing qualified personnel is essential to stabilize and further develop the association's infrastructure. The upcoming anniversary, the 35th anniversary of the founding of the regional association, promises not only a look back, but also an outlook on new projects and initiatives for the Barnim region.
Education in focus
In education, the Freie Joachimsthaler Gymnasium recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. With stable student numbers of between 120 and 130 annually, the institution shows positive economic and professional development. The high school gained a high reputation through membership in the “School without Racism – School with Courage” network and certification as a “school with excellent career and study orientation” by the “Network Future”. The “Performance Makes School” (LemaS) initiative supports the promotion of talent and puts the spotlight on inclusion in school education.
A revised mission statement is intended to help the school respond to current social changes. Innovative learning methods are the focus. In this way, an attempt is made to better promote the students' individual talents while at the same time paying the right amount of attention to social challenges.
The link between education and social responsibility is an important concern for the ASB. The networking and collaboration with other institutions in Barnim shows that all actors are working together for the positive development of the region.
In the coming years, it will be crucial for the ASB Regionalverband Barnim e.V. to maintain the high quality of the services it offers while at the same time responding to the ever-changing social expectations. These demands must be in line with financial and human resources so that important services for local people continue to be secured. The ASB sees this dynamic as an opportunity not only to survive, but also to actively contribute to the positive development of Barnim.
