The police have not yet been able to identify any suspects and have commissioned forensic science to collect evidence and carry out further investigations. On December 2nd, a mailbox in an apartment building on Waldstrasse was blown up, and the police were able to secure the remains of a firecracker, which led to the opening of criminal proceedings for damage to property, reported Radio Cottbus.

In the current investigation into the incident, police are also investigating possible connections to other explosions that have recently taken place in the region. The investigators are grateful for information from the public in order to finally stop this series of devastation.

At the same time, there were further police reports from Spree-Neiße that illustrate the current trend of vandalism in the region. Several young people were caught tampering with a speed camera and then fled on bicycles towards the Tauer. These actions resulted in an investigation into property damage after the speed camera in question was daubed with the words “ACAB”.
