Magical Museum Night: Fairy tales, music and fun in Spremberg!

There will soon be a reason to celebrate in the Spree-Neiße district: the Niederlausitzer Heidemuseum in Spremberg invites you to a museum night! On Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m., things will really get busy in the museum, as the event promises a colorful program for young and old.

The museum night will be ceremoniously opened with the ABC show “Adventures in the Fairytale Forest” in the castle courtyard. Here the popular character “Hexi” tells about her great-grandmother’s exciting experiences with the famous fairy tale characters Hansel and Gretel. Clown “Palimo” will bring the story to life in a very special way and amaze the little visitors.

A fairytale experience

A highlight of the evening is the opening of the special exhibition “In Fairy Tale Land” at 5:30 p.m. in the ballroom. This exhibition shows the magical world of the Brothers Grimm and invites visitors to immerse themselves in the fantastic stories until Christmas time.

Naturally, there are not only the eyes to discover, but also other sensory impressions. From 8:00 p.m. the night will end in style with a “Swing Evening with Michael Apel”. Michael Apel will enrich the evening with music, charm and humor and ensure a good mood. There is also an entertaining film quiz about the Roaring Twenties in the castle courtyard.

Prices and information

Entrance fees are really fair: adults pay 8.00 euros, while children can enter the museum for just 4.00 euros. This means there is something for everyone and the Heidemuseum becomes a place to enjoy while the whole family gets their money's worth.

It promises to be an unforgettable evening that will not only delight the children, but also let the adults reminisce about their childhood memories. Clearly there's something coming up! We recommend that everyone who would like to experience the passionate world of fairy tales mark this date in their calendars!
