From Kahren to Rome: Simson fans create an unforgettable journey!

An exciting journey for four passionate Simson fans who reached their destination on their 50 cc mopeds in Rome on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in Rome. Local messages report on the moving arrival of the drivers Ramón (40), Stefan (44), Christopher (36), and Joel (18), who had got on the track with their friend Marcel in the accompanying car. To visit Bud Spencer's grave, they learned from rain on the way to Venice and challenging Alpine crossings during their journey, which brought some physical exertion.

The 61 hours on the mopeds were not only exhausting, but also peppered with some challenges. So the participants had to take breaks again and again in cold temperatures and steep climbs. Despite these adversity, they were very satisfied with the reliability of their Simson Mopeds, which were originally produced in Thuringia. Only small defects occurred, a tire breakdown had to be registered, whereby enough spare parts were always available in the accompanying car, which, however, had to be used minimally.

For example, the S51E II Enduro model was launched in 1987 and quickly gained a good reputation. It replaced the previous models S51E and S51E/4.
