Record participation in the 58th international drawing competition in Schwedt!
Schwedt, Deutschland - The international drawing competition Flow has recorded a record participation this year and is now being held in Schwedt for the 58th time. With a proud 2,537 submissions from all over the world, including participants from Great Britain for the first time, the competitive environment is more varied than ever. As Uckermarkkurier reported from September 17th for two weeks can be seen on the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt.
The impressive number of submissions shows how high the interest in this creative competition is. The work that is evaluated by a six -member jury deals with topics such as child experiences and environmental awareness. It is particularly gratifying that there are also 18 entries from Prenzlau, including a group work from the Wunderland day care center and the Waldhof School Templin entitled "Our Dreams". This was created in the Manga drawing working group and combines watercolor painting with manga techniques.
support from local partners
The prices of the competition are donated by the district administrator Karina Dörk and the mayor Henrik Sommer and underline the local commitment to art and culture. There were some uncertainties on the financial side of the competition recently, but the financing now seems to be secured. However, Vice Mayor Silvio Moritz makes no secret of the fact that there are financial challenges for the city of Schwedt.
Furthermore, the Uckermärkische stages invite you to an exciting open house on May 1st. Here the visitors have the opportunity to look behind the scenes of the mask, tailoring and prop. The stage technicians are not neglected either, they show their craft on a technical show on stage in the large hall. As the Nordkurier , there is also an entertaining stage program that gives insight into the upcoming season 2023/24
