District league starts with a spectacular Ucker derby in the stadium!

On September 5, 2025, the starting signal for the new season of the district league was given in the Prenzlauer Uckerstadion, where the teams from Rot-Weiß Prenzlau II and Victoria Templin II fought an exciting duel. Over 200 spectators came to watch the “Little Derby” and the atmosphere was lively from the start. Stadium spokesman Pascal Warnke welcomed fans and players to the new season, which was expected with mixed feelings. The Prenzlau team had suffered a heavy 2:10 defeat against SG Milmersdorf in their last test match and were therefore particularly motivated to achieve a better result.

The match started evenly, and after a goalless first half it was Victoria Templin II who started the second half with “thoughts of victory”. With a free kick from a central position, Oliver Bähn gave the guests the lead (0:1). Just four minutes later, Lucas Liebich increased the score to 0-2. Prenzlau fought back and Jerome Schulz scored the goal to make it 1-2. But the Templiners stuck with it: Amon Vetter made it 1:3. Then came Philipp Daun's big performance, who made it 4-1 with a fantastic free kick from 25 meters. As a result, a lively game developed that ended with more goals for Templin: Lucas Liebich (1:5) and Johannes Collin (1:6) increased the result, while Luis Hötzmann made it 2:6 from Prenzlau's perspective. The game was described as entertaining and contained some action worth seeing and an impressive dream goal.

Overview of the coming season

Victoria Templin II presented herself strongly in preparation and is heading into the new season with optimistic “thoughts of victory”. The first competitive game is scheduled for August 9th when they meet the association league team SV 1908 Grün-Weiß Ahrensfelde in the Brandenburg Cup. The chances of progressing are not bad considering that the Green-Whites played in the Oberliga Nord in the previous season. If they win, the Templiners would move into the first round of the cup and are perhaps already dreaming of the next round.

After the cup weekends, league play in the North regional class begins with the Uckermark derby against FSV Rot-Weiß Prenzlau on August 22nd. Interesting challenges lie ahead and expectations are high. The league has become established in recent years and the teams are motivated to prove themselves in regional competition.

Form ranking and prospects

The teams across Brandenburg have also been preparing recently. According to current rankings in the FuPa, some teams, such as Fortuna Babelsberg II and RSV Eintracht 1949 II, are among the favorites in their leagues. Each team works hard to maintain its position and provide fans with exciting games.

The entire football community is optimistic about the new season. With so much passion and commitment from players and coaches, there will certainly be a lot of excitement and good entertainment! Stay tuned and follow developments in the district league and beyond.
