Christmas magic in Prignitz: Holidays full of adventure!
The anticipation of Christmas is increasing in Prignitz, as there are numerous festive events coming up in the region. As the Märkische Allgemeine reports, there will be a colorful program in the coming days that will make the hearts of young and old beat faster.
On December 24th, Christmas Eve, Prignitz is animated by various markets and events. In Perleberg there will be a fresh produce market on the Großer Markt from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an exhibition in the studio at Schuhmarkt 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pritzwalk and Wittenberge also invite you to their market squares, where visitors can fortify themselves from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Festive concerts and markets
Christmas Day, December 25th, promises a special highlight with a Christmas concert by the band Kokas in the Moorscheune in Boberow at 7 p.m. In Perleberg, the zoo will remain open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and in Pritzwalk the St. Nikolai Church will be open to visitors from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. For night owls, there is a Christmas party in Schilde for ages 18 and up in the Kulturscheune.
The celebrations continue on December 26th with free admission to the Prignitz Museum in Havelberg, where there will be music and texts about Christmas. The art association in Pritzwalk also shows an interesting exhibition that can be visited from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A celebration for young and old
The following days also offer a variety of opportunities for the people of Prignitz. On December 27th, a performance of the Christmas theater “Kalif Storch” will be performed in Kletzke at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium. Visitors are invited to donate to the amateur actors. The performance will be repeated again on December 28th at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
There are also many other events on the program this week. The Christmas bowling in Seedorf, the open church in Pritzwalk and, last but not least, a concert at the turn of the year with the Neue Philharmonie Berlin in Wittenberge at 8 p.m. make these days something very special. Tickets are available from just 35 euros.
Advent highlights in the region
Throughout Prignitz you will not only find traditional markets, but also special events, such as the Forest Christmas in Pritzwalk, which takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here, regional products can be purchased directly from retailers, supported by a gastronomic offer from the rural women.
