New dangerous goods vehicle strengthens Pritzwalker fire department for emergencies!
In Pritzwalk, the local fire department has put a new CBRN reconnaissance vehicle into operation. This vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that enables the detection of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear hazards. Twelve dedicated emergency services were trained accordingly, including ten people with basic training and two directly from the manufacturer. How maz-online.de reports, the rapid and effective protection of the civilian population is particularly important, especially in times of increasing threats from CBRN substances.
The Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) is making a total of 518 CBRN reconnaissance vehicles and 111 measurement control components available to the federal states. These vehicles are designed for situation reconnaissance in the event of large-scale spread of hazardous substances and are intended to provide effective support during operations. The vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to the federal states by the end of 2025, which will also ensure improved responsiveness and protection of the population in Pritzwalk bbk.bund.de.
