Mandy Baruth: With tattoos new courage for breast cancer patients

In the small town of Prignitz, Mandy Baruth, 49 years old, shows with her extraordinary profession, how to give hope for a serious illness through art and compassion. As a former radiology assistant, she turned to medical tattooing to help breast cancer patients with their specialization in Areola tattoos to regain their femininity. For many affected people, the reconstruction of nipples after breast surgery is more than just an aesthetic measure - it is an important step to rebuild its own body feeling. This is also confirmed by a study by Helios Health, which emphasizes the importance of areola pigmentation.

After the death of a friend who had breast cancer, Baruth found her new calling. She not only wanted to use her skills as a tattoo artist, but also offer support to other women. Thanks to her training in medical tattoo, she recently shone in several categories at a competition in Berlin. In doing so, she took first place in the area pigmentation and the Skalp pigmentation and secured second place in the Fine-Line tattoo. Their successes are particularly noteworthy because the need for such service lines grows; Every year, their number of customers only increases from up to three to four weekly from the past.

The way to self -acceptance

One of Baruth's customer is Beatrice Bachmann, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 36. After removing a chest and a complicated reconstruction, she had to struggle with the loss of her nipple. The Areola pigmentation was recommended by her breast surgeon and led Bachmann to feel entirely as a woman again. "The scar is no longer what defines me," she says gratefully and looks optimistically into the future. Marion Hinterreiter, who was looking for a suitable specialist almost five years after her treatment, also reports positive experiences. She emphasizes how important it is to know in the hands of confidants who understand the complexity of the Areola pigmentation, such as Ingrid Bregenzer, who trains dermapigmentologists.

But the Areola pigmentation is not an easy process. Several sessions are often required to achieve the optimal shape and color. In addition to personal experience, the selection of the right colors is also of great importance. With every treatment, hope for normalcy and self -acceptance is newly developed.

an important partner in healthcare

In addition to her artistic craft, Baruth has built up a cooperation with the Helios clinics in Schwerin and is currently conducting discussions with a Berlin hospital to optimize the medical procedure. This cooperation significantly improves the offer to use various treatment methods, including the combination of surgical reconstruction and area pigmentation. The clinic operators also emphasize the relevance of high-quality standards: "We want every customer to receive the best possible support and aftercare," said a spokesman for the Helios location.

The increasing number of breast cancer, especially in women between the ages of 30 and over 70 years, makes such initiatives all the more important. As can be seen from different reports, many women, often after years of severe therapy, look for ways, to redefine and learn their bodies, to love themselves again.

It is inspiring to see how Mandy Baruth not only helps women return to their body, but also to their self -esteem. Her commitment testifies that beauty goes far beyond the external appearance and that every woman, regardless of her experiences, earns the chance of a positive body feeling.
