The upcoming weekend offers a variety of events in Ostprignitz-Ruppin and the surrounding area that have something for everyone. Friday, July 4th marks the start of an exciting series of activities that will bring the region to life. In Freyenstein, the Doll Museum opens its doors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., where the summer exhibition “Surf & Sun – The Bears on Summer Vacation” can be visited. Another highlight of the day is the weekly market in Kyritz on the market square, which offers numerous fresh products from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The lecture on the Lebensbornheim Kurmark, which takes place in the Lindow Monastery at 7 p.m., is particularly recommended. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended by calling 033933/70297. In Neuruppin, the weekly market on the school square, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., attracts visitors. In the afternoon there is also the opportunity to view the exhibition “Neuruppin: Home in Pictures” in the monastery church, before the evening is enriched by two mini-concerts with organ notation in the same location: “Treffpunkt Orgel” at 5 p.m. and a children’s organ concert at 6 p.m., where donations are requested.
Active Saturday experiences
Saturday, July 5th, starts with a full program. The “Naßler & Stellmäcke” concert is expected in Buskow from 7 p.m. in the Bodoni-Vielseithof. Tickets should be purchased online in advance. In Fehrbellin there will be a family festival at the bowling alley from 2 p.m. At the same time, the Fortuna Kyritz volleyball club is celebrating its 50th anniversary on the sports field and in the sports hall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while in Lindow the town festival starts at 12 p.m.
Neuruppin will be livened up in the evening with the beach party in the Jahnbad from 7 p.m. and a concert with Sebastian Maihs in the Tempelgarten from 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the latter are available for 15 euros. The Dosse festival “Teetz de la Musik” in Teetz, which starts at 1 p.m. and lasts until late into the night, will also be very special. A summer night dance in Sewekow also promises to put visitors in a party mood.
Sunday full of culture and fun
At the end of the weekend on Sunday, July 6th, there will be a summer concert in Kyritz at 5 p.m. at which donations are requested. Neuruppin invites you to celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the Tempelgartenverein from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., including free guided tours at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Particular attention should be paid to the anniversary exhibition “Snapshots – 160 Years of Museum Neuruppin”, which can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an opening at 2 p.m.
Culture is also very important in Rheinsberg: The Vokal Ensemble Batumi is giving a concert in the St. Lawrence Church at 4 p.m., tickets cost 20 euros. In Wittstock there is a dance theater called “Firebird” on the program at 5 p.m., which also costs 20 euros. The weekend is rounded off by another special offer in Wustrau: A museum Sunday that starts at 11 a.m. and includes a series of lectures in the afternoon at 3 p.m.
