Treasure of gold from grandma's time: Monique sells bracelet at Bares for Rares!
An exciting day at “Cash for Rares”: Monique brought a solid gold bracelet that she inherited from her great-grandmother to the studio. According to that Lauterbacher Anzeiger The piece of jewelry is no ordinary jewelry because Monique doesn't wear it and therefore wants to sell it.
Moderator Horst Lichter is impressed by the artistic workmanship and stylish design of the bracelet. Jewelry expert Heide Rezepa-Zabel explains that the bracelet dates from the 1960s and was made in Italy. The material value of the bracelet, which is made of 750 gold and weighs 95 grams, is around 6,600 euros. Rezepa-Zabel estimates the total value at 6,600 to 7,200 euros, but emphasizes that fashion trends can influence the jewelry value.
Dealers and offers
However, the sale was met with mixed reactions among traders. Fabian Kahl showed little interest in this particular style and stated that he had “no desire at all” for it. Daniel Meyer made the first suggestion of 6,200 euros, which Monique rejected. She believed that the price of gold was higher and did not want to sell below value.
David Suppes finally took the initiative by increasing the offer to 6400 euros, which Monique accepted. Ultimately, she showed good negotiating skills and achieved 200 euros more than she originally expected. The discussion about the value of this bracelet clearly shows that gold prices change often and traders always rely on profit margins.
Another treasure of gold at “Cash for Rares”
Schlager.de reports that the pieces of jewelry come from his uncle, a master goldsmith, who made them for his wife in the 1930s. After the uncle's death 13 years ago, the pieces remained in the family. Thomas wanted to sell the jewelry to fulfill a long-held wish for his mother - a trip.
The expert Dr. Heide Rezepa-Zabel evaluated the pieces and estimated their value at 4,200 to 4,500 euros. Thomas initially had his sights set on 5,000 euros. Dealers Fabian Kahl and David Suppes showed interest, and finally Kahl offered 4,650 euros, which Thomas accepted. The jewelry set was sold in purple notes and the pieces are now being moved to Brandenstein Castle in Thuringia.
Overall, this day at “Cash for Rares” shows once again how valuable old pieces of jewelry can be, not only monetarily but also emotionally. Both stories - Monique's and Thomas's - emphasize how personal stories lie behind each piece of jewelry and the meaning that such heirlooms can have for individual family members.
