Big color splendor in Oranienburg: New artwork Colorful like us reveals!

In Oranienburg there is reason to be happy: a new street art work of art blooms at Rudolf-Grosse-Straße 18, which not only stimulates the senses, but also sets an important social statement. The LE.O Group, a network of municipal companies in the city of Oranienburg, has initiated the project. Under the direction of Art-Fx from Potsdam, a work of art with an impressive area of ​​175 square meters was created, which shows five hands that hold a colorful bouquet of flowers to symbolize the variety of municipal companies.

The managing director of Art-Fx, Ronny Bellovics, and his team put the vision of the artwork called "Colorful like us" into reality. In an intensive preparation time of four months, followed by a one -week implementation on the wall, the floral community work was realized. The artists were supported by the young people of the Oranienburg Youth Club Juca, who actively participated in the design.

A look at the sights

The work of art is not only a colorful mosaic, but also interweaves the cultural identity of Oranienburg. Five iconic sights of the city have been incorporated into the design:

• Nicolaikirche

The facade of the five -story house, which was made available by the housing association mbH (WOBA), serves as the perfect canvas for this vibrant homage to the city.

The role of the LE.O group

The Le.o-Group GmbH, a subsidiary of the city of Oranienburg, was founded on January 1, 2019 and has set itself the goal of bringing together and developing municipal fields of activity. This is done by central services in the areas of finance, purchasing, personnel and IT. As the Oranienburg Holding , the LE.O group actively contributes to promoting culture and strengthening the community feeling in the city.

As in other cities, urban art is given a very special meaning. The documentary series by ARD Kultur addresses exciting questions about the commercialization and gentrification of urban art. As in Berlin or Frankfurt, the artwork in Oranienburg is not only an aesthetic profit, but also a sign of participation in urban developments and the question: "Who does the city belong to?"

With "Colorful like us", the redesign of urban rooms in Oranienburg becomes a creative expression that strengthens both the identity of the city and integrates the local community. One thing is clear: art is alive in Oranienburg, and it shows what colorful diversity in the city!
