Hohen Neuendorf: Citizens have decided! Projects for 2026 have been confirmed!

The Hohen Neuendorf participatory budget for 2025 has been completed and the results are promising! On November 27, 2025, the city council unanimously approved the 14 best-placed projects, which are now to be implemented with a total budget of 200,000 euros from 2026. A total of 569 citizens took part in the vote and cast their votes for the proposals, which were assessed by the city administration for their feasibility. In addition to digital votes, on-site meetings in all four districts and flyers distributed to all households invited citizens to contribute their opinions and ideas. With 52 proposals submitted for the 2025 participatory budget, the topics of sport, children and youth, the environment and more are very popular. Residents were able to submit their ideas, and after the voting period ended on September 24, 2025, the proposals were evaluated. It quickly became clear who exactly had the best ideas. The projects that received the most approval include, among other things, the construction of weatherproof bus shelters at the railway barrier in Borgsdorf, the roofing of the Bergfelde sports park and the construction of a cemetery.
