Little kickers win trophies: Eintracht youngsters get excited at tournaments!

In the heart of Miersdorf, in the Dahme-Spreewald district, there was recently a very special reason to be happy: the G-Juniors of the Eintracht youth team won big at two tournaments. At the Böhme Elektronik Cup 2026 and the Allianz Haß Cup 2026, the little kickers, supervised by coaches Kevin Köhler and Lars Becker, strived for success and team spirit. A total of eight teams competed against each other in both tournaments, which made for exciting games.

The Böhme Elektronik Cup was intended for the 2020 and 2021 vintages. Here the little footballers had a record of one win, four draws and two defeats. The Allianz Haß Cup, in which the 2019 and 2020 vintages took part, even brought the Eintracht juniors four wins, one draw and two defeats. These performances show that the fun of the game was the main focus - and that was also emphasized by the organizers. Above all, there was a joy in movement and teamwork, which was particularly evident in the playful elements of the tournament.

A heart for the little ones

The importance of children's football cannot be underestimated. The German Football Association (DFB) notes that in the G-Youth age groups (U6/U7) and beyond, playing in a community plays a fundamental role in the social development of children. This allows the young players to learn their football skills in a relaxed environment, without the pressure of expectations that often comes from parents and coaches. It's about having fun, learning from each other and promoting fun in sport rather than just focusing on the results. fussballtraining.de emphasizes that the age group from 7 to 12 years are the “golden learning years”: Here children learn how to handle the ball in a playful and enthusiastic manner.

What is also particularly noteworthy is that at the tournaments every child received a trophy as a souvenir, which caused pride and joy. “All the children had fun, got involved and scored goals,” said the organizers. A nice incentive to further ignite enthusiasm for football. The game formats, including two-on-two games on small fields without a goalkeeper, support a pleasant learning atmosphere and help to avoid frustration by making the games more balanced.

The future of football

The tournaments not only made sporting successes visible, but also strengthened the sense of community among the children and their families. In organized children's football, it is important that clubs like Eintracht focus on the long-term development of talent and focus on the individual needs of the young players. Finding the right balance between learning, playing and striving for success is crucial for children to stay motivated and discover the joy of football. dfb.de supports this development through age-appropriate training concepts and is committed to promoting trainers who act as development companions.

In Miersdorf, the Eintracht youth not only achieved sporting success with these tournaments, but also set an example for social cohesion and the joy of exercise. When athletes and spectators come together again on the field soon, the community will continue to come together through football.
