School enrollment in Werneuchen: 96 first graders start full of anticipation!

On September 6th, 2025, 96 new first graders were able to experience their big day at the Neue Werneuchen elementary school. The school enrollment ceremony took place in the school auditorium, which is located on the south-eastern outskirts of Werneuchen in the Rosenpark. Mayor Astrid Hildebrand warmly welcomed the school starters and gave them the best wishes for a successful start to school life. Four first classes were formed for the new students.

The New Werneuchen Primary School has a total of 526 children between the ages of 5 and 12 and is led by 27 teachers who form a dedicated team around the school management Heike Hansch and Anka Sachse. The secretary, Jessica Möwisch, and the chairwoman of the school conference, Angela Koch, also contribute to the harmonious everyday school life. A school social worker, Ms. Breest-Grohnwald, also offers support for the students.

She called for consideration for those starting school and to ensure the safety of children around school.
