120 years of the Hope Valley Foundation: Celebration in Lobetal invites everyone!

On June 22, 2025, things will be colorful and happy in Lobetal, right next to the Waldkirche in Bernau, when the Hope Valley Lobetal Foundation invites you to its 120th annual festival. Under the motto "Look. Discover the good." We look forward to a day full of activities for young and old, with and without restrictions. The festival begins at 10:00 a.m., where a celebratory service with a moving sermon by Pastor Ulrich Pohl, chairman of the v. Bodelschwinghschen Stiftung Bethel, is carried out. Children of Christian teaching will perform an entertaining theater piece and the whole thing will be accompanied musically by wind instruments from various regions, including Bethel and Lobetal.

The family program begins at 11:30 a.m. on the village square. Numerous hands-on activities for children and families are planned here, as well as sales stands that offer not only plants, but also delicious products from Lobetal organic produce. Guided tours at 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. also provide insights into the work of the Hope Valley Foundation. The culinary offer is complemented by a musical highlight: At 2 p.m. Marlon Falter, known from “The Voice of Germany” and blind, will delight people with his music. The stage program ensures an exuberant atmosphere with live music and performances and is enriched by a variety of bands such as “Shuffle Time”, “Wilde Tulpen” and others.

Special occasions and overnight stays

But that's not all! On June 21st, the evening before the big festival, St. Marienkirche Bernau invites you to an annual festival concert at 5:00 p.m. Under the motto “Bold and friendly – ​​the sound makes the music,” entry is free and promises a great evening with musicians from the region. All celebrations end on Saturday with a travel blessing and the singing of the trumpet choir.

If you arrive by train, there is a convenient shuttle bus service between Bernau train station and Lobetal. The first bus runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the return journey can be made at set times from the Brockensammlung stop.
