Watercolor painting course for families: Experience art fun in Senftenberg!

A creative adventure awaits families in the heart of Senftenberg! OnJuly 25 and 26, 2026The OSL District Museum is hosting an exciting watercolor painting course aimed at families with children aged 6 and over. Under the expert guidance of the freelance artist and experienced creative coach, Wenke Richter, the little artists and their companions are introduced to the world of watercolor painting.

The course not only offers the opportunity to be creative together, but also the chance to use the fascinating Senftenberg fortress as a source of inspiration. Exciting activities are planned such as searching for motifs around the fortress and insights into “botanical drawing”. The participants learn different techniques such as watercolor painting, washing and the use of fineliners. A perfect opportunity to develop your creativity with the family!

Wenke Richter: An artist with many facets

Wenke Richter, the course leader, not only has a good knack for working with colors, but is also an experienced communicator in the creative scene. Born in Lauchhammer in 1979 and working as a freelancer since 2012, she brings a lot of experience to the courses. In addition to commissioned painting and creative coaching, she has also made a name for herself in the regional and national exhibition landscape in recent years. Her creative projects include everything from graffiti painting to workshops for children and young people, often in collaboration with youth projects in public spaces.

In addition to the watercolor painting course, this offers Children's studio a variety of other creative courses and workshops. Here, children and young people can let their creativity run wild with acrylic painting, jewelry making and many other techniques, among other things. The courses are well organized, with small groups and varied topics that change regularly.
