Ted Tattermusch: Switch to Energie Cottbus for the offensive!

The transfer rumors surrounding FC Energie Cottbus are becoming more and more concrete. On June 12th it was officially announced that 24-year-old striker Ted Tattermusch was moving from Carl Zeiss Jena to Cottbus. This deal is seen as a real coup for the Lausitzers, as it brings a highly frequented offensive force into the team.

Tattermusch not only has an impressive height of 1.94 meters, but also entered Jena's history books last season with 12 goals and 4 assists from 29 games in the Regionalliga Nordost. His robust game and outstanding header strength are qualities that coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz particularly values. Wollitz also highlights the need to increase aerial presence on offense to be competitive in the third division next season, making new signing Tattermusch even more valuable. As thueringen24.de reports, Tattermusch will play a key role in the Cottbus attack.

A new path for Tattermusch

The young striker began his career in the Teglingen/Meppen/Schwefingen syndicate before moving to the youth department of SV Meppen at the age of 11. There he celebrated his first third division appearance and scored his first goal. He later moved to Borussia Dortmund's U23 team in the summer of 2021. In a total of three seasons he played 82 third division games, in which he contributed 2 goals and 7 assists. After a short interlude at SV Meppen, he went to FC Carl Zeiss Jena, where he performed excellently in the 2024/2025 season, as fcenergie.de describes.

"We are happy to have Ted Tattermusch in our ranks. He brings a lot to the table: size, heading and finishing strength. He will certainly offer more flexibility and presence in attack," said squad planner Maniyel Nergiz.

Additional reinforcements for Cottbus

In addition to Tattermusch, the Lausitzers have also announced two other new additions: Moritz Hannemann and Theo Ogbidi. Both transfers aim to broaden the team and make it ready for the challenges of the upcoming third division. Cottbus would like to build on old successes in the new season, and the new additions are an important part of this strategy.

Preparations for the upcoming third division season 2025/26 are already in full swing and FC Energie is determined to put together a powerful team. As kicker.de notes, other clubs have already presented numerous new additions, which is further heating up the competition in the league.

Will Tattermusch be able to fulfill Cottbus' hopes? The coming weeks will show it. One thing is certain: expectations are high and the talented striker's potential is undeniable.
