In a difficult blow for the region, Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH (GMB) has filed for bankruptcy in Tschernitz. The bankruptcy application was submitted to the Cottbus district court and affects around 250 jobs, of which 243 employees are already in short work. According to GMB, GMB is the last specialized solar glass manufacturer in Europe and has been producing solar glass for 15 years.
