FC Energie Cottbus: Finally training camp in Austria again!

FC Energie Cottbus is taking a bold step towards the new season. For the first time in over ten years, the team is heading to a summer training camp. This will take place from July 17th to 23rd in Hagenberg im Mühlkreis, Austria. After a long break, the club has decided to give new impetus to sport and structure, as those responsible announced on their website. Head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz is impressed by the optimal conditions that the Austrian Alps offer for preparation and emphasizes the importance of the training camp.

The goal of the stay in Austria is clear: the team should be challenged and make the final adjustments before the start of the 3rd league anniversary season 2025/26. There are two test matches on the program that could be crucial for planning the coming season. On July 18th, FC Energie Cottbus will face Austrian first division team SV Oberbank Ried in the Innviertel Arena at 6 p.m., followed by a duel against second division team FC HOGO Hertha Wels on July 19th at 6 p.m. in the Huber Arena. These touchstones are extremely important for the team in order to consolidate their form and team dynamics and to identify weaknesses in good time.

Countdown to the new season

Like other teams in the 3rd league, FC Energie Cottbus begins its summer preparations on June 23rd, while the new season starts on the first weekend in August. In the midst of the preparations, other clubs have already set their training camps to meet the coming challenges. SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball in Mals/South Tyrol and SSV Jahn Regensburg in Bad Gögging are also preparing for the season that starts for all clubs in August.

Overall, the training camp in Hagenberg is a promising step for FC Energie. The combination of intensive training sessions and exciting test matches will bring the team to the point and should be the key to success at the end of the season. The audience in Cottbus can look forward to a committed and well-prepared team that is ready to achieve their goals in the league.

The club doesn't have much time left before the start of the season and the anticipation for the upcoming adventures in the 3rd league is growing. We are excited to see how the team will develop and what surprises the anniversary season will bring us.
