On November 27th and 28th, 2025, the annual Christmas market will take place in the courtyard of the Pestalozzi School, organized by the Eisenhüttenstädter Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft (EWG). This market has been delighting visitors since 2015 and has developed into a popular meeting place. Entry is free and we promise a colorful mix of festive decorations, delicious food, steaming mulled wine and punch. Of course, a cozy campfire will also create the right atmosphere.
The proceeds from the market will go towards the urgently needed restoration of the Eulenspiegel Fountain, which stands in the school's inner courtyard. This fountain has been broken for years and the city has made it its mission to make it sparkle again. The Pestalozzi School shows great commitment because teachers and students actively help organize the market. The community campaign shows how important togetherness is in Eisenhüttenstadt.
Tradition and cooperation
“Christmas at the Eulenspiegelbrunnen” is the name of the event, which is organized together with the school’s students and teachers. At this Christmas market, visitors can look forward to a great program that has traditional stalls, a tombola and lots of tasty things to offer. A 30 km/h zone will be set up for safety on Karl-Marx-Straße so that younger visitors can also enjoy the event without any worries.
