Waldhof Templin celebrates 171 years: Holidays full of entertainment!

On Sunday, June 15th, the Waldhof in Templin will celebrate its 171st anniversary. This event has made a name for itself beyond the city limits and promises a colorful program for all age groups. The motto of the festival, “Prove everything and keep the good,” will be felt not only in the festive atmosphere, but also in the numerous activities for visitors and clients of the facility.

The festival begins at 10:30 a.m. with a festive service, which marks the start of a varied program. From 1 p.m., guests can look forward to the Zumba kids from Templin, who will open the stage program. Other highlights include the square concert by the Schalmeienkapelle at 1:40 p.m. and the dance performance by Funkenmariechen at 2:35 p.m. A puppet theater with Stephan Raetsch will be offered for children and adults at 3:30 p.m.

Diverse activities

Crafts, archery and carriage rides from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ensure that younger visitors also get their money's worth. A blacksmith will demonstrate his art from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Waldhof nursery will remain open for all garden lovers until 4 p.m. What is particularly exciting is the opportunity for children to work with the “Christlichen Modellbahn Team e.V.” Explore model railways and get creative yourself.

However, the Waldhof in Templin doesn't just offer celebrations. Intensive support for people with disabilities who work in the Stephanus workshops also takes place here. These offer a sensible way to organize the day for clients who cannot work independently. Each client has a caregiver who is open to relatives and legal guardians. In this way, the Waldhof not only ensures a happy celebration, but also ensures the well-being of its clients in their everyday lives. The workshops are easily accessible and support clients in their vocational training and social interactions, in the spirit of an integrative society.

A place of meeting

The Waldhof offers are designed for children, young people and adults with and without disabilities. From living for children and young people in Haus Sonnenschein to various facilities for adults such as the Heinrich Grüber House and the Gustav Zietlow House – many people find a home and support here. Contact with relatives is always maintained if desired, which strengthens the sense of community.

On Sunday everyone is cordially invited to take part in the anniversary celebration and experience the Waldhof community. In addition to the entertainment program, everyone has the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the fantastic work of the facilities. Further information is available on the official websites of the Waldhof Stephanus and the city of Templin Templin. Be there and celebrate with us!
