A sporty start to the New Year: New Year's run in Templin with mulled wine and a certificate!
The IG Postheim Templin has put together a great sporting event for January 1st, 2026: the traditional New Year's run. It starts at 11 a.m. at the beer garden of the AHORN Seehotel in Templin. Here all sports enthusiasts, whether running or walking, can let off steam in the idyllic Buchheide. And the best part? There is no time pressure! No matter how fast or leisurely you go, the focus is on having fun.
No New Year's run without a social gathering! After the sporting activity, IG Postheim invites all participants to a cozy end. Mulled wine, fruit punch and small snacks ensure that after the run you can go home not only proud of your performance, but also completely satisfied. Each participant also receives a commemorative certificate commemorating the sporting start to the new year. So if you're looking for a happy get-together, you've come to the right place. Guests are also welcome and can join the run!
Looking forward to the Lübbesee run
The New Year's run is followed by another highlight: the 41st Lübbesee run, which will take place on September 13, 2025. This is also organized by IG Postheim Templin and brings together participants from near and far. The start and finish area is located at the beer garden of the AHORN Seehotel. Various running routes await athletes here: from 2 km to 20 km. Nordic walking is also offered - here you can cover 6 km or 10 km.
The Lübbeseelauf begins at 9:45 a.m. with the opening. If you want to be there on time, you should register at the organization office, which is open from 8:30 a.m. The start times are staggered colorfully:

Pre-registrations are close to reaching the 100 mark, and late registrations are also possible until 9:30 a.m. for a fee of 3 euros. In order to offer the participants the best, the organizer community ensures electronic timing - timing chips are provided. And the icing on the cake: the first three places in each age group will be honored with a certificate, and the award ceremonies will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Of course, food will be provided during the run. Hot lunches are included in the entry fee, and additional food and drinks are available in the cafeteria to suit every taste. And don't worry about finding a parking space - the organization has also made sure that there is enough parking space on the hotel's former sports field. But please do not park in the designated zones, as they will be checked!
