The hunting season is just around the corner and the public order office of the Uckermark district administration has reminded all hunters to take care of extending their hunting licenses in good time. Anyone who would like to extend their hunting license by April 1st of next year must submit the application by November 25th of this year at the latest. This deadline is part of a decree from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Consumer Protection dated October 9, 2025.
To ensure that hunting licenses are issued on time, the results of the background checks must be submitted to the responsible weapons authority by the beginning of December. This helps ensure that every hunter can start the new season well prepared.
How does the application process work?
There are many ways to apply: hunters can simply send an email, submit the form by post or even appear in person. However, in order to apply in person, you must book an appointment in advance online. The corresponding application form can be easily found on the Uckermark district website.
