There was recently reason to celebrate in Dedelow: The 77-year-old farmer Dr. Rainer Mentele expressed his thanks to the road workers on the B 198. In an email to the editors, he reports on the lightning-fast construction work that is making the village street shine in new splendor. “So we can build quickly,” says Mentele, praising the quick and thorough renovation, which he finds particularly remarkable compared to other construction sites. “This doesn’t happen so quickly everywhere,” notes the experienced farmer, who has lived in the region since 1983.
Construction began at 7 a.m. on October 13 and was completed in just five days. During this time, Mentele made sure that the accessibility of his properties remained guaranteed with his two artificial knees, which limited his mobility.
