Weekend highlights in Ostprignitz-Ruppin: festivals, music and markets!
The coming weekend from June 27th to 29th brings with it a packed program in Ostprignitz-Ruppin. From colorful festivals to exciting cultural events and entertaining concerts – there is something for every taste here. Residents and visitors can look forward to rich experiences that not only maintain well-known traditions, but also set new highlights.
On Friday, June 27th, the day in Banzendorf starts with a citizens' information event about the planned solar park at 4 p.m. in the community center (Banzendorfer Str. 75a). In Fehrbellin, the small primary school will present its circus performance with Circus Smiley on the festival meadow at 5 p.m., real fun for 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children. At 7 p.m., live music by Rike Döring in the half-timbered church in Kantow will ensure a good atmosphere.
Market days and festivals
Kyritz opens its doors several times on Friday: the weekly market takes place on the market square from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the MAZ football tournament at 5:30 p.m., which is for the coveted MAZ challenge cup. After a short detour to the Old Town Festival celebration with live music and a DJ until 2 a.m., the Old Town Festival is guaranteed to be remembered for a long time. Things will also be diverse in Neuruppin - the weekly market and the consumer advice center's Digimobil service run simultaneously from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the school square.
Special attractions in Neuruppin are the exhibition “Neuruppin: Home in Pictures” in the monastery church from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and the theater premiere of “The New Menoza” at 7 p.m. in the Temple Garden, where tickets are available from 12 euros. If you like music, you can choose between the mini-concert with cantor Matthias Noack at 5 p.m. and the live open-air class meeting of Eastern music in Hangar 312 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., for 55 euros per day.
A colorful weekend
Saturday, June 28th also has a variety of events in store. In Altenhof, 365 years of Altenhof will be celebrated, while in Freyenstein Björn Casapietra will touch the hearts of the listeners with “Himmelslieder” at 4 p.m. with a ticket price of 42 euros. The old town festival also continues in Kyritz with an adventure mile from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., while in Neuruppin the open laboratory day attracts everyone interested to the LADR laboratory center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In the evening, the city of Neustadt is offering a concert by the doctors' tribute band “Die Kassenpatienten” in Olaf's workshop from 7:30 p.m. for 26 euros. Things get sporty in Wittstock with the Rotary family sports festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fine, entertaining market activity awaits visitors to the village festival in Nietwerder with a parade at 12:30 p.m. You can end the day with a cinema evening in Zempow with the film “Happiness on a Scale of 1 to 10”, doors open at 8 p.m.

The crowning conclusion of the weekend is Sunday, June 29th. In Karwe everyone can look forward to a concert with Rita D’Arcangelo at 4 p.m. in the Landhaus Kastanie. The open motor mill in Kränzlin is accessible from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the old town festival in Kyritz also has a church service between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and surprises with live music.
