New additions to SPG Prignitz: Kegler power from Kyritz!
In the cone scene of the Prignitz, something exciting is happening again: The sports community (SPG) Prignitz has committed two new players with Steven Pölchen and Nick Ruppert. This means that Pölchen and Ruppert are number 4 and 5, who joined the team from Knatterstadt Kyritz. These decisions come against the background of the closure of the bowling alley in the Kyritzer Kulturhaus, which is announced for this summer. Despite the strong performance in the 2nd state class and decades of youth work, the bowling club had to look for new opportunities. Nordkurier reports on this development and the challenges that the team has to face.
Pölchen and Ruppert are no strangers in the cone scene. Both players have already experienced a lot in their youth and had some successes. Among other things, Ruppert is the current individual ranking winner of the 2nd state class and wants to connect to its good form from the previous season. He also has valuable experience from SG Eberswalde. For his part, Pölchen has qualified several times for German championships and has a lot of motivation to help the team. You will initially support the 2nd men's team, which has relegated to the 2nd state class last season.
new challenges and goals
An essential impetus for the two new additions was the exchange with Michael and Christopher, who have been playing at the SPG since 2022. Pölchen and Ruppert have moved these positive feedback to join the team and recommend that they are recommended for missions in the second division team of the red blacks. In this context, the changeover of the venues is also important. The new bowling alleys are located in the "Kuhstall on Dahses Erbhof" in Glövzin and in the hotel "Stadt Magdeburg" in Perleberg.
Apart from the news from Prignitz, the national cone season is also in full swing. The German championships are currently taking place in bohle skips, which started on June 12, 2025 and are going in Husum until June 22, 2025. This competition attracts bowlers from nine federal states. The Husum sports club, host of the championships, celebrates 150 years of cone sports and 100 years of bohle skittles this year, which gives the events a special setting. Further championships have already taken place this month, including the German Youth Championships, which were held in Kiel on May 30th and June 1st. Sports cone dbkv keeps the cone community up to date on all important events and shows the variety of bowling sports.
at the Kyritzer Kegelklub thank Pölchen and Ruppert for the past few years and wish sports fans all the best. While the Kegler of the SPG Prignitz is now proving themselves in new realms, the cone scene in Brandenburg remains alive and exciting. The next few weeks will promise exciting competitions and the opportunity for new talents to fight for a place in the spotlight. Bowling prignitz remains at the pulse of developments and will provide further information about the upcoming competitions and changes in sports.
