There is something for every taste in Ostprignitz-Ruppin from August 15th to 17th, 2025. If the weather cooperates and perhaps even a rainbow shines over Neuruppin, a colorful weekend with many creative events will be heralded. Friday opens with the popular weekly markets in Kyritz, Lindow, Neuruppin and Wusterhausen. Here you can buy fresh products and delicacies, while in Barsikow you can sit together in the “Herzhaftes” meeting café from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. In the evening the theater summer continues in Netzeband, where the performance “Prince of Homburg or the Battle of Fehrbellin” starts at 8.30 p.m. Tickets are available online for from 31.50 euros.
In Rheinsberg the operetta “Die Fledermaus” will be performed at 7:30 p.m., while in Schönhagen the film evening with “The Helsinki Effect” begins at 7:30 p.m. Cinema fans can also look forward to Wredenhagen, where the film “The Dead Don’t Hurt” will be shown at 8 p.m. A very special event is taking place in Wustrau - the lake festival with the musical “The Little Shop of Horrors”, which starts at 8.30 p.m. Tickets are available here for 39.50 euros, reduced price 17.50 euros, online. Special highlights on Saturday
Saturday, August 16th brings the inauguration of the book cell in Berlitt at 4 p.m. and exciting family fishing in Kyritz from 1 p.m. In the evening it gets musical: In Neuruppin, visitors can expect the open-air cinema with “Top Gun – Maverick” at 8.30 p.m. and a ticket price of just 5 euros. In Rheinsberg there is a swing concert with Andreas Pasternack at 5 p.m. and a song evening at 7:30 p.m. for lovers of songs and melodies.
Another highlight is the Heidefest in Pfalzheim, which provides adventure tours and entertainment throughout the day. In addition, the lake festival in Wustrau will continue again at 8.30 p.m. with the musical “The Little Shop of Horrors”. Anyone looking for something special will certainly enjoy the Spanish Night in Zermützel from 7 p.m., with free entry.
Family friendly Sunday
On Sunday, August 17th, you can admire the summer exhibition in the doll museum in Freyenstein from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also a nature adventure camp for children in Linum, with information on Tel. 033922/50500. The play “Hansel and Gretel” will be performed in Netzeband at 3 p.m. In Neuruppin, anyone interested in art can attend the vernissage “Appreciate” at 12 p.m., while a mini-concert with cantor Matthias Noack will also take place at the same time.
Visitors can look forward to further activities in Wustrau, where museum tours take place at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., followed by another appearance by the “little shop of horrors” at the lake festival at 8:30 p.m. If you want to end the day by immersing yourself in the world of film, you can enjoy the drive-in cinema in Zempow, where the film “Wonka” starts at 9 p.m.
