Students from Potsdam-Mittelmark shine with innovative ideas in the Tecci 2025!
Werder, Deutschland - On June 18, 2025, the ceremonial award of the Tecci 2025 school competition took place in the Digitalwerk Werder, and the event was able to come up with around 70 guests, including pupils, teachers and representatives from the economy and administration. Dr. Steven Koch, the first deputy of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, opened the event and ensured a solemn setting in which the best student projects from the region were presented.
The Tecci competition, which has been promoting innovative ideas since 2019, attracted numerous creative contributions this year. Students from grade 1 to 13 were able to participate and submit their projects under the motto of sustainability, climate protection, digitization and social engagement. It was no surprise that the guests had the opportunity to choose their favorites on site this year, which gave the event an interactive note. The competition from the School & Wirtschaftsforum PM network of TGZ PM GmbH was organized and supported by various sponsors. Supporters such as the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark and companies from the region secured the implementation of the competition.
The winning projects
The jury and those present were impressed by the creative ideas that were reflected in the submitted projects. The best three projects this year were:
- 1st place: "Greenstack" from the Grace-Hopper comprehensive school Teltow-a smart hanging area to reduce water waste.
- 2nd place: "No Littering" from the Evangelical Company Werder - creative trash can to strengthen environmental awareness.
- 3rd place: "Diamonds from the beaker" from the Brück secondary school - a project for crystal formation from chemical solutions.
All award -winning teams were able to look forward to material prizes and recognitions. In addition, Alfred Roos, head of the Tolerant Brandenburg coordination office, gave a keynote speech on the subject of democracy, which fit well to the student's commitment.
outlook on Tecci 2026
After the award ceremony, there was the opportunity to exchange ideas and network in the digital work. The organizers are already optimistic about the next competition in the coming year. The TECCI, which is carried out as part of the School & Economy PM working groups, is not only a platform for creative projects, but also promotes the dialogue between educational institutions and the economy.
The TECCI competitions are part of a broader initiative that supports the Ministry of Education and Research to motivate pupils in Germany to develop creative and innovative solutions. Every year, these competitions reach over 900,000 children and adolescents and cover a variety of subject areas, as reported bmbf.de, including mint, social sciences and culture.
The next application rounds for Tecci 2026 start in November 2025. We are excited to see which creative ideas will then be presented! So students, have ready and bring in your innovative projects and ideas - the future is waiting!
