Investigators combed through Patriot” apartments in Saxony and Brandenburg

Königs Wusterhausen, Deutschland - A storm brewed itself over Saxony and Brandenburg! Investigators searched a total of 33 apartments of members and supporters of the so -called "United Patriots" today. These measures are part of a comprehensive campaign against the right -wing extremist network, which is suspected of forming a terrorist organization in order to destabilize society, like that SPIEGEL reported.

The searches are the result of intensive investigations that extended for months. The research is particularly immersed in the structures of this group. Connections to other extremist organizations have long been a discussion point among security experts and make it clear that there is a growing problem with right -wing extremist tendencies in Germany.

a watchful eye on the scene

The Protection of the Constitution has published alarming numbers in its current report. At the end of 2024, the personal potential of the right -wing extremist scene in Germany already included more than 50,000 people - an increase of 24 percent compared to the previous year. The growth in violence-oriented milieus, which now attracts more than 15,000 people (https://www.verfassungschutz.de/de/verfahnschutz/der-bericht/vsb-rechtsextremism/2024-vsb-rechtsextremism_artikel), is particularly worrying.

with a total of 37,835 right -wing extremist crimes in 2024 there was a dramatic increase of 47.4 percent compared to the previous year. The most common offenses affect propaganda, with 63.9 percent of the crimes falling into this category. Attacks on asylum accommodation and violent attacks against the LSBTIQ community are just a few of the brutal aspects that are associated with the increase in right-wing extremist activities.

The growing problems

The scene is always creative in the instrumentalization of social issues. The Middle East conflict is currently being used to meet migrants, which not only results in the increase in right -wing extremist acts against asylum accommodation, but also in the propagation of anti -democratic attitudes. The Protection of the Constitution has also identified this as a repressive strategy that feces a climate of fear.

Another topic that heats the minds are the frequent right -wing extremist demonstrations that remained at a high level in 2024. In the meantime, many citizens are concerned about the continued influence of these parties in local elections and their growth of members, in particular the AfD, which now has over 50,000 members. This is a significant challenge for the political climate in Germany.

The events in Saxony and Brandenburg are a clear indication that the security authorities are required to carefully observe developments in the right -wing extremist networks and to proceed them decisively. It can be hoped that the current searches and investigations by the public prosecutor can lead to further information and to effectively counter the right -wing extremist threat.
